CADETS DE LA SÛRETÉ DU QUÉBEC

La Sûreté du Québec (SQ) est le corps de police provincial du Québec. Elle est l’une des plus anciennes institutions québécoises encore en existence. C'est aussi la seule organisation policière à servir tout le territoire québécois. Elle fut créée par l’Acte de police de Québec, sanctionné le 1er février 1870. C’est le 1er mai 1870 que l’organisation de la police provinciale de Québec est complétée.

La SQ est l'une des trois forces de police provinciales au Canada, les autres appartenant à l'Ontario et à Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador, alors que la Gendarmerie royale du Canada (GRC) agit à titre de police fédéral dans les autres Provinces et territoires du Canada. La GRC est déléguée à des taches spécifiques dans cette province, comme en Ontario.

The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) is the provincial police force of Quebec. It is one of the oldest Quebec institutions still in existence. It is also the only police organization to serve the entire territory of Quebec. It was created by the Quebec Police Act, sanctioned on February 1, 1870. It was on May 1, 1870 that the organization of the provincial police of Quebec was completed.

The SQ is one of three provincial police forces in Canada, the others belonging to Ontario and Newfoundland and Labrador, while the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) acts as the federal police in other Provinces and territories of Canada. The RCMP is delegated to specific tasks in this province, as in Ontario.

Cadets - Sûreté du Québec

Dans le cadre d'une treizième édition, le programme cadet sera de retour dans les districts. La Sûreté du Québec prévoit embaucher 200 cadets pour une période allant jusqu'à 12 semaines entre : le 29 mai et le 20 août 2023 avec une possibilité de prolongement jusqu'au 30 septembre 2023 pour certaines MRC ou Ville.

As part of a thirteenth edition, the cadet program will be back in the districts. The Sûreté du Québec plans to hire 200 cadets for a period of up to 12 weeks between: May 29 and August 20, 2023 with the possibility of an extension until September 30, 2023 for certain RCMs or cities.
